Be aware that the final resolution of many mediations may be the result of a series of agreements on smaller issues that allow you to move towards solving the main problem. Last week I mediated a suit where that was the case. It resolved because of hard and creative work by everyone involved, lawyers and participants, to the great benefit of the parties. Focus on what can be addressed and sometimes that will lead you forward on issues that seem immovable.
